ReStore 1/2-Off First Friday a Hit With Customers
The monthly 1/2-off First Friday sale has become popular with regular customers of the ReStore. This sale allows
customers to save even more on unique and routine building materials for sale at 2108 North Austin Avenue in
Georgetown.
The Habitat Williamson County ReStore is open 6 days per week to the public interested in purchasing new and
used building materials at significantly discounted prices. All items for sale have been donated to HFHWC.
The revenue generated from the ReStore supports the HFHWC effort to provide affordable home ownership
opportunities to more families in Williamson County. Feel free to stop by to see what is available as the inventory
changes each day. The ReStore is open 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Lola Wright Foundation Provides Seed Funding for ReStore Truck
To be more effective in our ministries, Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County is looking to raise
funds for the purchase and maintenance of a Habitat ReStore panel truck. Our ReStore is a building
materials retail center, which sells new and gently used home improvement products and building materials
to the general public at substantially discounted prices. Proceeds from the ReStore help to build more
Habitat homes for low-income families here in Williamson County.
The total amount that is needed is $30,000. On December 21, the Lola Wright Foundation provided
a grant of $15,000 toward this panel truck. Now we need to raise an additional $15,000. This means that your
donation is vital as we look to collect larger ReStore donations, reduce liability and safety issues when transporting
donations to the ReStore, and increase security of donated goods in an enclosed truck.
The ReStore fosters recycling and diverts tons of useable materials from the landfill. Currenty, the ReStore
uses a single pick-up truck and flatbed trailer to collect donations. This equipment has been in use for the last 5 years.
A quality new panel truck will let the ReStore collect more donations in all types of weather and serve the County
for years to come.
To join the Lola Wright Foundation in responding to the need, you can donate to the panel truck campaign by
sending a check to Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County, P. O. Box 737, Georgetown, Texas 78627. Or you
can use the PayPal donate button on this website. Please indicate on your gift that the contribution is for the
panel truck campaign.
Homes in Georgetown and Round Rock Dedicated Recently
The Williams-Sedwick family is now in their own home at Old Mill Village, a 20-lot development in the heart of
Georgetown. This Habitat home was dedicated on Sunday, August 9. A month later, on September 12, the
home of the Degu-Kidane family was dedicated in Round Rock! Family, friends, Habitat volunteers and staff
were on hand at each ceremony to celebrate the completion of the homes and the start of a new chapter in each
family's life.
Generous Donors Replace Stolen Tools
Habitat Williamson County has good news to report. Several community members and businesses have
donated tools and funds which will replace all the construction tools stolen recently. We are most
delighted to receive all the thoughtful donations. Volunteers, partner families and staff will think of the
community's kindness and generosity whenever the tools are used to build more houses for families in
Williamson County.
