Hail and Farewell for HFHWC’s Resource Development Department

As we move past the beginning of the year, Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County

embraced a new change of its own. Nicole Vommaro, the Director of Resource Development and Marketing since 2014, announced she would return to her home state of Pennsylvania in early 2024.

Within the 9 years she served our community through HFHWC, Nicole created a resource development system that resulted in more families being served through the Homeownership, Home Repair and ReStore programs across Williamson County. She also developed clear and cohesive messaging about the services HFHWC provides and the impact it makes.

“It has been a joy to watch Nicole take care of and immerse herself in Williamson Cou

nty. While her ‘day job’ was her main focus, she also was involved in her children’s schools and other community events,” said Debbie Hoffman, HFHWC Executive Director. “Nicole was a blessing to this organization, and I will miss working with her.”

One of Nicole’s other successes at HFHWC was recruiting Felicia Martinez as the organization’s Resource Development Coordinator in 2022. Together, they worked to gather the many partners it takes to meet the housing needs of families in Williamson County.

Since her arrival to HFHWC, Felicia brought her passion, excellent organizational skills, and exemplary writing expertise to the organization. To date, she has increased the number and amount of grant awards as well as streamlined the volunteer recruitment, training, and management services we offer.

“Volunteers are the lifeblood of Habitat and without them, we wouldn’t be able to provide the safe and affordable housing needs of families in Williamson County each year,” she commented.

While HFHWC says farewell to Nicole, the organization and its supporters also look to the future.

“I am excited to announce that Felicia has agreed to take the reins as Director of Resource Development and Marketing, effective as of February 2024,” Debbie Hoffman announced.

“Felicia brings amazing skills that the organization needs as we are facing greater growth in Williamson County.  I have no doubt she will step in to meet that challenge head on.”
